Aethyus
Aethyus is one of the four project leads of the Deep Aether addon for The Aether mod.
He is part of Team Razor, as lead artist and lead musician (for Deep Aether Original Soundtrack). He notably founded Deep Aether in 2022, eventually becoming one of the four core members of Team Razor. He lives in the central french countryside.
Artistic Direction
Aethyus' main calling is pixel art and building. He is, since its launch, lead artist for Deep Aether, the popular addon he founded back in June of 2022. Due to lots of changes in his art style, the mod was greatly impacted by a ridiculous amount of texture changes in a short period of time. To this day, Aethyus' style is heavily inspired by the "Jappa Style", adopted by Minecraft in 1.14. It is however smoother and has limits in number of colors, with a peculiar attention to a "cute" aesthetic. The difference between the original Aether style and his desired aesthetic is also quite visible due to its heavy reliance on hue shifting.
He is also the author of numerous builds like Deep Aether's Brass Dungeon, with lot of his creations influenced by the Medieval/French Gothic architectural style. (For example the presence of pinnacles between each arch ontop of the Brass Dungeon's "crown".)
Music
Aethyus is also composer for Minecraft mods, hence the release of Deep Aether's Soundtrack (formally known as "Deep Aether (Original Mod Soundtrack)"), in November of 2024. It is composed of eight tracks, spanning 18 minutes in total.
Translation Work
Aethyus is also an active french translator for The Aether.
