From Aether Project Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Welcome to the Aether Project Wiki Rules. If you are a new user, you should start by reading this first. All users, with no exceptions, must follow these rules. Breaking any of these rules will result in administrator action.

Rules

General Rules

  • The wiki is intended to be suitable for all, so avoid vulgar or hateful language or other inappropriate content.
  • This is a collaborative space, so flaming and harassment are not tolerated.
  • Avoid revealing personal information on the wiki.
  • All content and discussion on the wiki must be about The Aether Team's mods or addons made for these mods.

Editing Rules

  • Writing must be objective. Articles should not contain opinions, speculation, complaints, or suggestions.
  • Use edit summaries as often as possible to explain your changes to other editors.
  • Use license templates for file uploads as often as possible.
  • Do not start edit wars by repeatedly reverting another user's edits, try to discuss the changes or have an administrator mediate the disagreement.
  • Do not vandalize articles, either by removing content or replacing it with irrelevant or inaccurate content.
  • Do not spam the wiki by creating unnecessary pages or files.
  • Do not mess with other people's user pages.

Discussion Rules

  • Article comments must be relevant to the article or editing of the article.
  • Remember to sign your comments with four tildes ~~~~ to leave your signature and time of commenting. You can customize your signature in your user preferences.
  • Do not edit or remove other people's comments.

Consequences

Consequences may vary between users, depending on the frequency and/or severity of the rule-breaking, and how new the user is to the community. In most situations, users will first be given a warning or multiple warnings. If a user's problematic behavior continues, then they will be banned. However, users may be banned immediately if the infraction is severe enough. Moderation actions are ultimately up to adminstrator discretion.
