A log is a naturally occurring block found in Trees, primarily used as a building block, and to create Planks, a versatile Crafting ingredient. It comes in two types: Skyroot and Golden Oak.

Skyroot

Skyroot Log is a log that generates on Skyroot Trees within the The Aether. Additionally, it can be obtained by breaking Golden Oak Log when using an axe weaker than the Zanite Axe (This being the Skyroot Axe and the Holystone Axe).

• Skyroot Log is commonly used to create Skyroot Planks at a rate of 1:4.

Breaking a natural Skyroot Log with a Skyroot Axe will drop double the regular amount.

• Using a tool with the Fortune enchantment will increase the amount of Logs obtained as well.
  

Golden Oak

Golden Oak Log is a log that generates on Golden Oak Trees within the The Aether. It can only be obtained with a pickaxe enchanted with Silk Touch.

• Golden Oak Logs drop Skyroot Log and Golden Amber when mined with a Zanite Pickaxe.

Breaking a natural Golden Oak Log with a Skyroot Axe will drop double the amount of Logs dropped, but will not drop Golden Amber.

Uses

• Can be used as a decorative block.
• Can be smelted inside of a Furnace to create Charcoal. Additionally, Logs can be used as fuel itself.
• 1 Log can be used to craft 4x Planks.
