Usage
Mining
Skyroot tools are unfortunately limited by the fact that their double drop ability has strict restrictions.
- Firstly you can only get double drops if the block is from the aether.
- Second it needs to be a naturally generated block, if you place holystone down you won't be able to double it.
- Next you need to use the proper tool to receive double drops even if the block would drop normally otherwise. (ex. Even though you can break an air cloud with a skyroot pickaxe you won't get double drops.)
- And lastly the tools only have wood mining levels, which basically means your Skyroot Pickaxe can't double your Icestone, Zanite or Gravitite finds.
With that said, are these tools worth your time? Yes, actually.
- Skyroot Picks with Fortune 3 can get you tons of ambrosium through mining to use as fuel for furnaces and altars or as decoration by making a Block of Ambrosium as well as making Ambrosium Torches.
- Skyroot axes are more efficient at getting Skyroot Wood compared to stone axes, and the gap between gravitite and skyroot lessens if you get zanite accessories and the efficiency enchantment involved.
- Skyroot shovels can double quick soil drops which is somewhat rare as a soil and can be used to make quicksoil glass or use as highway infrastructure. With Silk touch you can double the amount of Aether Grass Blocks I guess.
- Skyroot hoes are used to double air cloud drops, White and Golden Air Clouds can make parachutes and reduce fall damage to zero when landed on and Blue Air Clouds can make entity elevators.
